Bárbara Damas joined Dower Law Firm in 2024, practicing mainly in the area of Public Law.
Holds a Bachelor's degree in Law from the Portuguese Catholic University – Regional Center of Porto.
Has a Master's degree in Tax Law from the same institution, having presented her thesis on the topic: “Taxation of Income from Local Accommodation Establishments: The Specific Case of Non-Residents.”
In 2022, attended a Specialization Course in Land Use, Urban Planning, and Environmental Law, organized by the Center for Studies in Land Use, Urban Planning, and Environmental Law (CEDOUA).
As a Trainee Lawyer at Pacheco de Amorim, Miranda Blom & Associados, Sociedade de Advogados, S.P., R.L., worked in the field of Public Law. She currently has over six years of experience in this area.
In 2021, obtained a Certificate of Pedagogical Competencies (CCP) and has conducted various training sessions in Public Law. That same year, became a trainer with a Certificate of Pedagogical Competencies (CCP).
Also, has taught courses in various areas of law, including:
- “Brief Course in Real Estate Administrative Law – Module III – Land Use, Module IV – Special Regimes, and Module V; Urban Litigation,” organized by AEFDUP, in March and April 2023;
- “Public Law Course – 1st Edition – Urban Planning Law,” taught at the University Lusófona in May 2023;
- “Public Law Conferences – Urban Planning Law Module,” organized by ELSA UCP, in May 2023;
