This law firm will open its doors to young law students

A group of 12 young law students will have the opportunity to put their academic knowledge into practice through a summer internship at Dower Law Firm.

The firm is once again opening its doors to this initiative, which was born with the aim of giving the country's future lawyers ‘a real insight into the profession’ and reinforcing its commitment to attracting talent, says the partner in charge, Miguel Cunha Machado.

Of the more than 150 applications received, those selected stood out for their ‘scientific rigour’. The internships will take place in two phases, with the first starting at the end of July.

‘The selected students, who are currently in the second, third and fourth years of their degree, will have a unique opportunity to get to know the most diverse areas of specialisation in law on the ground. They will have the opportunity to follow court proceedings and be present in court. It's undoubtedly an asset for those who want to go into this area,’ says Miguel Cunha Machado.

The summer internships last 15 days, with the first phase starting on 29 July. The second phase starts three days after the end of the first, running from 12 to 23 August.

Connecting with the university community is one of the pillars of attracting and retaining talent that Dower Law Firm intends to continue to focus on, and it plans to open new applications for summer internships in 2025.
